Available Datasets on Older Adults

Through more than 20 BCTR projects, we have accumulated a wealth of data. We are pleased to be able to share the following older adult datasets with Cornell faculty, academic staff, and graduate students.

  • Organization and Quality of Care in Nursing Homes
    Data set includes a survey of nursing home staff and individual assessments of residents in the same 20 nursing homes (baseline survey 2008)
  • Within-Family Differences Study
    Two waves of a panel study with aims to:
    • collect data from members of both generations regarding parents' relationships with each of their adult children;
    • explore the extent to which parents differentiated (e.g., showed favoritism) among their offspring; and
    • identify factors that explained why parents held preferences toward specific children
  • The Legacy Project
    Qualitative interview project. Respondents age 60+ asked a variety of questions regarding life experiences. (2014 – present)
